Veterans Day is a Day to Remember and Show Gratitude for Our Nation's Veterans

Statement

Congressman Steve Pearce released this statement today in honor of Veterans Day.

"I take time today, on Veterans Day, to remember and show my gratitude for our nation's veterans," said Congressman Steve Pearce. "The people of New Mexico have a strong history of service, from Bataan to Operation Inherent Resolve. This history will forever fill us with honor and pride. As a Vietnam veteran, I deeply appreciate the efforts our communities, state and nation make to honor our veterans each year. Thank you to all veterans who faced seemingly insurmountable challenges and dangers, when answering the call of duty. Veterans Day is much more than recognizing those who served. It is about thanking and honoring all who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our nation safe. I ask that you take a moment today to also remember the families of the fallen and the troops who are still in harm's way. I continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers. We must never forget our debt of gratitude to these brave men and women."
